| Course outline |
This course builds upon the skills acquired in Academic Writing I, focusing on critical reading skills and the detailed and sometimes painful work of writing and revising argumentative text. Regular writing assignments will be made, and members of the class will take an active role in appraising one anothers' work. There will also be supplementary training sessions on the use of information technology to manage text and the writing process. A short final examination will test basic knowledge acquired during the course, but our most important work will be done in class discussions and writing assignments. |
