2007-11-28 - Site reorganization and update

This week we introduced some changes to make navigation of the website a little easier for our visitors. There have also been important changes to the figures listed in the Supervision arrangements page. Here are the highlights:

News items
These now expand inside the top page (but if you are reading this, you know that already!).
Files for download
These now appear directly in the areas to which they apply, together with archives of older versions where relevant. Files are offered in both the orginal form, and in a zip-compressed version, to provide options for both low-bandwidth connections, and visitors who do not have access to the zip archive utility on their computer. See the Prospectus page for an example.
Supervision arrangements page
This has been upgraded to provide a more accurate view of staff supervision burdens. In addition to students pursuing a degree, we now include non-degree research students intending to register for degree study in the following year. Further, we provide a note of third-year doctoral candidates, who may continue under the tutelage of their supervising professor for an additional year.

2007-11-01 - Administrative offices moved

In connection with an administrative reorganization within the University, the three administrative sections of the Graduate School of Law have moved from the Law building to the Integrated Research Building (IRB). The Student Affairs Section is in IRB 106 (on the ground floor). The Accounting and General Affairs sections have moved to IRB 208 (on the second floor). In the map shown to the right, the Law building is number 14 and the IRB is number 66.

2008-06-23 - Rainy season begins in Japan

As we wait for the admissions cycle for various programs to open in the Fall, Japan has entered the annual period of heavy rains referred to locally as tsuyu. Here in Nagoya, this season marks the boundary between springtime and the hot, humid weather of deep summer – and provides occasion for a routine update to our website top page. Our site content is current; watch this page for further news relating to admissions procedures.
